Mackenzie Mardis

Regional Director of Administrative Services

Mackenzie's educational journey is a testament to her commitment to the healthcare field. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix and continued her education while working full-time at Bridgeway Hospice. Her dedication to learning is further evidenced by her three-year tenure at LSU, where she was a part of the Golden Band from Tigerland.

 

Following in her mother’s footsteps, she was introduced to the hospice industry very young as a Hospice Volunteer. With that being said, she has been going up the Bridgeway Ladder. She started as Medical Records, to Receptionist, to Admin. Coordinator, Regional Administrative Coordinator, and currently in the position of Director of Administrative Services.  In her new position, Mackenzie trains and oversees all Administrative positions involving Human Resources,  data entry, billing, and receptionist in all 3 locations. Her specialty is customer service, and she is a true people pleaser. 

 

 In her spare time, she strives for adventure and living life to the fullest with her spouse, Chris & their son, Mykah. She also continues to educate others on the vision of hospice by attending conferences. “Growing up in this industry is interesting. People always ask me, ‘How do you do it?'. To be quite honest, this is the most honorable job I could ever dream of having. This is not meant to be a place of sadness, but it’s more a place to rejoice and have an appreciation for life, however long or short it may be.”  She has met many new people along her journey here at Bridgeway and considers this job a blessing.
