Mackenzie Mardis
Regional Director of Administrative and Marketing Services
Mackenzie's educational journey reflects her lifelong commitment to healthcare and service. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix while working full-time at Bridgeway Hospice. Her dedication to personal and professional growth is further demonstrated by her three years at LSU, where she proudly performed as a member of the Golden Band from Tigerland.
Following in her mother's footsteps, Mackenzie was introduced to hospice care at a young age as a hospice volunteer. Since joining Bridgeway Hospice, she has steadily advanced through the organization, serving in roles including Medical Records, Receptionist, Administrative Coordinator, Regional Administrative Coordinator, and now Director of Administrative and Marketing Services.
In her current role, Mackenzie provides leadership and oversight for administrative operations across all Bridgeway locations, including human resources, billing, medical records, data entry, and reception services. She also directs the organization's marketing initiatives, working closely with healthcare providers, community partners, and referral sources to educate others on the benefits of hospice care and ensure patients and families have access to the support they need. Her passion lies in building meaningful relationships, delivering exceptional customer service, and helping others navigate the hospice journey with compassion and understanding.
Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys seeking new adventures and making lasting memories with her son, Mykah. She remains dedicated to advancing the hospice mission by attending conferences and continuing to educate healthcare professionals and the community about the value of end-of-life care.
"Growing up in this industry has been a unique experience. People often ask me, 'How do you do it?' To be quite honest, this is the most honorable work I could ever imagine doing. Hospice is not a place of sadness; it is a place where we celebrate life, create meaningful moments, and provide comfort and support during life's most important journey. Every day is an opportunity to make a difference, and that is truly a blessing."
Throughout her career at Bridgeway Hospice, Mackenzie has been inspired by the patients, families, colleagues, and community partners she has met along the way and remains grateful for the opportunity to serve others through this meaningful work.

“I appreciate every person for being a part of my life. At Bridgeway, we consider everyone our family, and they truly are my family - my Bridgeway family.”
